There are 21 chapters written by 33 authors in this latest of books on the kidney. The first four introductory chapters are on such general topics as morphology, histochemistry, electron microscopy, and immunology and immunopathology of the kidney; the remainder of the book deals with specific diseases, such as acute and chronic glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis, and renal amyloidosis. The editor's expressed aim is to compile and present the great amount of data and new experience about renal diseases in "convenient" form, and he has elected to include a considerable amount of illustrative material arranged in atlas form at the end of
