Those who are unfamiliar with this classic should not be misled by the title. In essence, this is a comprehensive account of the occurrence, inheritance, and complexities of the red blood cell antigens. The serum groups and the white blood cell antigens are barely mentioned.
A whole chapter is devoted to each of the major blood group families; new chapters include one on the Yt blood groups, one on the antithetical antigens Sm and Bua, and one on the Dombrock blood groups.
