SELVAN DAVISON, M.D., F.A.C.P.
To the Editor: In these days of confusion and anxious attempts to alter medical school and resident training curricula I have long felt that there is considerable danger of "throwing out the baby with the bath water." In this vein, I found a recent article in your journal (Ann. Intern. Med. 70: 621, 1969) by Dr. William Engstrom very illuminating.
I should like to add my strongest support to his views and urge that they be seriously discussed and considered in our councils.
