A well-written, journalistic but sober assessment for the layman of prospects for technologic and biological modifications of life—transplantations, social changes consequent to widespread contraception, genetic manipulations, computer and clinical influences on learning and sensation, and related topics. Mr. Rosenfeld comes through all of this with optimism, but most readers will find his well-documented trip through this Grave New World distinctly unnerving.
Recommended to physicians and medical students who wish to know what life may offer to their grandchildren or great grandchildren.
