Of the six reviews five are pertinent to internal medicine. The first is a survey of pathophysiology, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of thyroid disease (Heimann); the second, dextran in prevention and treatment of thromboambolic complications (Bygdeman). Three reviews focus on transplantation methods and results: antilymphocytic sera (James); transplantation antigens in leukocytes (van Rood and Eernisse); and liver transplantation (Mikaeloff and Calne).
