At a rate of annual dues only slightly higher than that for the student and house officer subscription to the ANNALS, trainees in internal medicine can join the American College of Physicians in a new class of membership—candidate membership. This privilege was proposed by the Board of Regents 1 year ago and then approved by vote of the Fellows of the College at the Annual Business Meeting in Chicago last April.
Candidate membership is available to men and women, graduates of medical schools acceptable to the College, who have finished at least 2 years of postdoctoral training in internal medicine
