Dr. Harold W. Brown is one of the great teachers of parasitic diseases. This book reflects his concern with presenting his subject in a clear and interesting manner, included are pictures and diagrams, many of which show a fine sense of humor.
Basic Clinical Parasitology consists of an introductory chapter on the concept of parasitology, three chapters each on the protozoa, round worms, tape worms, flukes, and arthropods, and three chapters consisting of somewhat personal discussions of the diagnosis and treatment of parasitic diseases. To begin at the end, the author suggests that the association of eosinophilia with parasitic disease
