For three years we have been reprinting from Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report the "Recommendations of the U.S. Public Health Service Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices." These have appeared in our feature section "Diagnosis and Treatment." Our readers have found these authoritative, consensual statements on the proper use of vaccines, toxoids, and immune globulins for prevention of infectious diseases to be valuable guides.
The "Recommendations" have been collected and reprinted by the National Communicable Disease Center in a supplement to Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (1). Short bibliographies added to each recommendations increase their value for reference. Single copies of
