The title of this book suggests a detached, scientific inquiry after truth. Nothing of the sort. It might better be called Claimsmanship, or, How To Ploy the Insurance Carrier. Its thesis is that a claim is an adversary proceeding in which the claimant tries to get all out of it, and the insurer tries to get out of it all.
