This small book containing discussions of myasthenia gravis by 12 authors is the fruit of the large experience with that disease at New End Hospital, London. The quality of the chapters varies, and the book is not a complete review of what is known of myasthenia gravis today.
The historical review by Sir Geoffrey Keynes is excellent and should be read by everyone interested in myasthenia gravis. The chapters on clinical diagnosis and treatment are not adequate if the book is to be used as a guide to diagnosis and treatment. However, two topics often ignored in the discussion of
