To the editor: Last year the review "Antilymphocytic Antibody Effects in Experimental Animals and Problems in Human Use" by Stewart Sell appeared in the ANNALS (71:177-196, 1969). At the same time similar papers appeared in some other American journals. All the authors were convinced that the first application of antilymphocytic serum to human beings took place in 1967. This is wrong, however, and I am presenting herewith the evidence that it was 20 years earlier in Poland. As it was published in Polish and obviously is not familiar to the American scientists I would like to quote the pertinent bibliographic
