I liked this book. The author writes with facile clarity, apparently an inborn character of the English. The subject matter fills a need by offering a concise and cogent overview of mosquito-borne disease from the aspect of the vector as well as the more often detailed aspect of the host and parasite. (Dr. Mattingly would not approve of distinguishing vector from parasite, since he, rightfully, asserts that the vector is also a parasite.)
