There is an eloquent plea made here for a scientific attitude toward drug research and the treatment of drug addicts, free from the prejudice and governmental interference that now exists. Otherwise, there is very little one could say in praise of this volume, which is an outgrowth of a panel of experts meeting in 1968 to discuss the problem of LSD.
