The increasing popularity of recreational scuba diving and the continued expansion of the oceanography industry combine to make an understanding of diving medicine and physiology important to many. There should be a significant market among physicians for a book with this title. Unfortunately, Surgeon Rear-Admiral Miles does not seem to be addressing himself to this audience.
