Good textbooks of clinical virology are always welcomed by those who seek a specific causal diagnosis of nonbacterial infections. In this latest edition of a book that first appeared 20 years ago, the authors systematically discuss the viruses that are known to have produced disease in man. Each chapter contains a review of the properties of a particular virus or virus group, its spectrum of disease production, and its laboratory investigation.
