The usual comprehensive textbook on cancer is an expensive tome, often consisting of several volumes. Found only in the library, it is not readily available for use as a quick reference. As oncology begins to take its place as a separate specialty in medicine, there is a need for an inexpensive condensed textbook on clinical cancer. To my knowledge no such text has been available heretofore. To fill this void the author, who has had an extensive background in the field, has written this synopsis of clinical information about cancer.
