A revised, expanded version of Dr. Hess' short atlas of physiological and behavioral responses in the cat to diencephalic stimulation. A selected group of orienting diencephalic sections is followed by kymographic and film-still illustrations of elicited phenomena; these illustrations are accompanied by sections showing points of stimulation and by descriptive text notes. A bibliography of 134 references covers experimental work in physiology of the brain stem using the Hess method at the Physiological Institute, Zurich.
This fundamental source is recommended for libraries with holdings in neurophysiology.
