This is the third annual publication of reviews of significant advances in the field of clinical pathology. There are twelve chapters on different subjects and by different authors.
Most chapters deal with a different subspecialty of clinical pathology and are useful as a reference source of the newest techniques. Primary emphasis is on technique and not disease descriptions or differential diagnosis. There are over 1,000 references, and, except for two chapters—one on thyroid function and another on scintiscanning, they are from the literature of the last 5 years.
