Dr. Ingrid Gamstorp of Jönköping, Sweden, has produced a highly practical and readable brief textbook of pediatric neurology. Writing from the perspective of a pediatrician, she begins by describing the neurological examination of the child and continues by organizing her text almost exclusively around symptoms or signs of central nervous system dysfunction, such as mental retardation, cerebral palsy, or headache. This system greatly eases the path to diagnosis.
