During March of 1969 The Research Group on Head Injuries, representing the World Federation of Neurology and The World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies, discussed the state of knowledge of neurologists, neurosurgeons, lawyers, and rehabilitation physicians on the late effects of head injuries. This volume is the content of these discussions and some of the debate that followed. The viewpoints of the non-Americans are of interest—in regard to their concepts of cause and effect and problems in diagnosis and return of individuals to work in differing forms of society.
