Proceedings of a symposium held 29-30 September and 1 October 1969, under sponsorship of the New York Academy of Sciences. Thirty-five papers on methods and applications of body impedance measurement and electrorheography to cardiac and vascular functions and other areas, including parturient abdomen, eye, skin, brain, and kidney. Definitive diagnostic methods and standards have not been developed, so these approaches are not yet applicable to clinical medicine. Nevertheless, these exploratory studies will be interesting to many subspecialists in cardiology, thoracic medicine, and neurology.
