Yes, read that title again closely. It does not say the cutaneous manifestations of systemic disease but instead introduces the first book I know that addresses itself to the systemic changes produced by or associated with skin disease. The authors have long been carefully studying and reporting many patients, especially those with generalized dermatoses. They have been imaginative and thorough in assessing the systemic relationships and in devising tests to explore the fundamental mechanisms. Now they have summarized mainly their own work and expanded on the subject through some useful bibliography.
