It is difficult to define the role of vectorcardiography in clinical medicine and even more difficult to define the vectorcardiographer. This presents a major challenge to anyone writing a book about vectorcardiography. This work is directed to students and clinicians who wish to learn pragmatic rules of vectorcardiographic interpretation.
The authors discuss vectorcardiographic criteria for the diagnosis of hypertrophy, bundle branch block, myocardial infarction, preexcitation, and changes due to cor pulmonale and emphysema.
