Patients with advanced cancer deserve the care and consideration that a group of physicians trained in a variety of disciplines but lead by an interested internist can offer them. Dr. Sullivan and his colleagues have described this care as it is given at the Lahey Clinic, and as such this book is a valuable chronicle. The last half (162 pages) is devoted to describing the rationale, techniques, and results of intra-arterial administration of anticancer drugs and their antagonists or antidotes.
