The approximately 175 contributors to this book constitute a who's who in dermatology. Most of them have vast clinical and practical experience with their specific subject matter. The format is divided into three parts; dermatological procedures, therapeutic management, and drug index. The emphasis is on management of disease rather than on diagnosis. The section on dermatological precedures is very rewarding in explaining the theoretical background and actual mechanism of proceeding with highly sophisticated dermatological procedures. Detailed explanations of dermabrasion, chemo-surgery, hair transplants, and laser therapy are, however, too advanced and sophisticated for the medical student, internist, pediatrician, or most practicing
