How does one review the sixth edition of an established standard textbook like this? By what yardstick does one measure the quality of such a book? How critical can one be? It is ridiculous and dishonest to pontificate as though one has read the whole content since, life being what it is, it is impossible to perform this Herculean task in the time allotted. One realizes very quickly what is meant by "ars longa, vita brevis"! Since I am not a Renaissance man, it is unlikely that I can prepare an authoritative overall register of pedantic inaccuracies.
