The intensive care unit with its broad spectrum of severe problems and its changing technology requires rapid and accurate responses that challenge the most experienced. A compact source of essential information in this area is very desirable, and Dr. Rubenstein's book answers this need most gratifyingly.
As an expansion of the working and teaching notes of an experienced clinician, this book has an inherent functional thrust.
