No book on any specific subject can hope to include all necessary information concerning that subject. This book is no exception. The authors intend it mainly as a textbook for medical students and as a reference for medical practitioners. It is encouraging to see textbooks on medical jurisprudence, legal medicine, and so forth being brought into the foreground. Hopefully, this trend may stimulate their use in medical schools and foster courses in legal medicine. This book certainly can be used as a nucleus for such a course.
