As pointed out in the foreword by Dr. Campbell Moses, this volume appears at a time of increasing emphasis on the use of exercise as therapy for patients with cardiac disease. Furthermore, persistent underachievement in restoring cardiac patients to their full physical, emotional, and social potential underscores the need for increased application of well-documented methods of restorative aftercare and secondary prevention. This book therefore represents a timely effort to provide the practitioner with a well-organized approach to this vital problem.
