A precis should be precise. But then, is it possible to cover carefully, in a few thousand words, such a vast field as "how renal function affects drug action"? The pejorative result of Dr. Reidenberg's attempt to do so is equivalent to that of a two-word summary of The Bible: be good.
The first chapter emphasizes the theme that some drugs may be more hazardous when they are given to patients whose kidneys are not working well. The next chapter, a brief excursion into renal physiology and pharmacology, covers but does not come to grips with renal mechanisms involved in
