To the editor: In the recent exchange of views on antibiotics for bacteroides sepsis between Drs. Kagnoff and Armstrong and Drs. Goodman and Bodner (Ann Intern Med 75:316-317, 1971) the latter concluded: "Perhaps the most salient conclusions for the reader to draw from this exchange are that bacteroides should not be assumed to be susceptible to any antimicrobial agent. . . ." Although one cannot argue with this or their other conclusions, I should like to suggest an additional conclusion that I think is even more salient: each hospital should summarize at periodic intervals the antibiotic sensitivity patterns of the
