More than 25 years of extensive personal surgical experience with colonic diverticular disease is reflected in this 130-page monograph by Dr. Colcock, a senior staff member of the Lahey Clinic in Boston. The text is presented in seven chapters, discussing pathology and pathogenesis, diagnostic aspects of uncomplicated and complicated diverticular disease, the special circumstance of right-sided diverticula, surgical indications and techniques, and a summarized 20-year experience with 294 operated patients.
