A green cover with a diagram of mononuclear cells engaged in some type of undisclosed activity greets the reader of this new textbook of immunology. Luckily the text is less confusing and even more interesting. The author is primarily concerned with immunological principles and mechanisms and their clinical application. The book is aimed at the medical student. The scope is comprehensive, but the development of concepts is orderly and proceeds at a rate that is suitable for the complexity of the material. The emphasis on particular areas appears to be appropriate to the listed procedures. The last 200 pages deal
