The interprofessional relationship between medicine and law becomes more extensive and complex with each passing year, much to the chagrin of many physicians and some attorneys. The critical need for better understanding between these two groups can only be filled through constructive, intelligent dialogue and education. The Fifth Edition of Doctor and Patient and The Law makes an exemplary contribution to the hopeful achievement of this objective, just as prior editions have. R. Crawford Morris, an excellent trial attorney who has specialized for many years in the defense of medical malpractice actions, is a new co-author of this fine book.
