There has been a need for a short but comprehensive introduction to the field of neuroradiology, and Drs. Peterson and Kieffer's text fills that need. The text is an outgrowth of a chapter by the authors in Baker's Clinical Neurology, which perhaps explains why the text is headed "volume 1, chapter 2." Fortunately, however, the table of contents and index are sufficient guides to the reader.
Much of the appeal that the book has for me stems from the fact that the authors present a comprehensive view of neuroradiologic approaches to neuroradiologic problems, even though the orientation is by procedures
