This pair of laboratory-oriented books on diagnostic virology has been published for readers concerned with clinical virology. The first is a diagnostic handbook for physicians. It contains three parts: properties of viruses, bedsoniae, and rickettsiae; human viral, bedsonial, and rickettsial diseases; and diagnostic procedures for these diseases.
Properties of these intracellular organisms are outlined, without any detailed description. General features of human diseases by these organisms are also outlined; some are very complicated subjects, but the descriptions remain simple. The last part, which is also the main substance of the book, deals with the diagnostic procedures for human diseases. Here,
