The understanding and treatment of various types of heart block have advanced rapidly and significantly with the development of pacemakers. There are few physicians and institutions not called on to deal with patients with heart block and various types of pacemakers. This compact volume is timely, well written, and reasonably well illustrated. It should meet the increasing need for easily obtained information on this area.
