The author of this new book on electrocardiography, a senior respected and admired cardiologist, has put together a series of some 600 carefully chosen electrocardiograms representative of most of the common conditions found in clinical practice. The text is brief but helpful, and the illustrations are generally excellent and well reproduced in adequate size. Some 80 of the 553 pages are given to electrophysiology and the normal electrocardiogram, with subsequent sections on hypertrophy, conduction disorders, coronary heart disease, varied specific disorders, and nonspecific abnormalities. Adequate reference lists that include many of the basic classic papers are found at the end
