To the editor: Since my last communication (Ann Intern Med 77:816, 1972) and after discussions with knowledgeable sources in Washington, it appears that a bill to establish a National Institute Of Aging within the National Institutes of Health will be introduced into the next Congress when it convenes in January 1973. It is considered virtually certain that this bill will again be passed by Congress and that, if the President exercises his veto, it will be overridden.
The bill proposed by Senator Moss (S.2931) may or may not be brought onto the floor during the next Congress. Regardless of whether or
