The Swedish Medical Research Council and the Wenner-Gren Center Foundation sponsored the proceedings of an international symposium. Cervical Pain was the resultant text of the internationally distinguished participants. Thirty-seven authors have delineated their experience in 21 papers. The problems discussed were anatomical, physiological, and pathological, with special interest devoted to clinical features and their management and an analysis of the neuro physiological mechanisms of cervical pain. All participants emphasized thought for the future, with only an occasional author specifically delineating an answer to the problem now.
