It would be a rare treat to hear a symphony orchestra composed of musicians who were all world-renowned soloists. Such a treat is in store for the readers of this book, since its 32 contributors are all recognized authorities in the field of electrocardiography. They were assembled by the editors for a symposium that was held at Emory University School of Medicine in May, 1971. The editors should be congratulated not only for assembling the faculty but for the herculean task of preparing the book for early publication.
