In 41 chapters, with 212 illustrations, the authors accomplish their primary aim—to present the important facets of gastrointestinal diseases—in a reasonably concise volume that includes original articles and reviews. Except for a rather dull chapter on mouth and pharynx, the effort to make this book readable has been successful.
