In its format and high quality of production this two-volume work by a German roentgenologist resembles the Encyclopedia of Medical Radiology, which has been published by the same firm. This, however, is the final segment of another series, limited to diagnostic radiology. The first volume (614 pages, including 56 pages of bibliography) is devoted to the normal and pathological development of the extremities and most of the heritable, metabolic, infectious, and neoplastic diseases, principally as they affect the extremities.
