REPRODUCTIVE PHYSIOLOGY is a voluminous field; however, Doctors Hafez and Evans do an excellent job of surveying the current literature. The title of the book clearly defines its content. Although this is a multiauthored book and clearly designed for the scholar desiring in-depth reading of reproduction, its text is remarkably consistent and easily read throughout. The book is divided into five sections. The first section is an up-to-date presentation of reproductive physiology. Classical physiology is discussed in the light of recent findings. In the second section the probable physiological mechanisms of action of various methods of contraception are discussed. The
