To the editor: Dr. Donald Vidt recently reported on a peritoneal dialysis workshop (Ann Intern Med 78:144-146, 1973). In that report he recommends a peritoneal dialysate calcium concentration of 3.5 mg/100 ml. Such a level would rapidly deplete patients of calcium and no doubt accelerate their bone disorder. I believe he meant to suggest a calcium concentration of 3.5 meq/ litre, which is 7.0 mg/100 ml.
