Health Services Prospects contains too many facts and too little analysis to make it easy reading. Indeed, I found the reading to be so heavy that before I had waded halfway through the book, I began to wonder whether the primary function of book reviews was to assure that at least someone reads every word of every book. Nevertheless, this book is an important resource for those interested in health services, statistics, and demography.
