Color Atlas is the title, and that is what it is, a spectacularly good one, with more than 500 color photographs.
An introductory chapter reviews the modern instruments for endoscopy, biopsy, photography, and allied methods. The remainder of the book is in two parts, one on the small intestine and the other on the colon. Each of these sections includes a large amount of material on the normal appearance of the various segments; they offer endoscopic photographs, low-power views, histologic sections (often with special stains), scanning and standard electron microscopic views, and peritoneoscopic pictures.
