If the aphorism "one picture worth a thousand words . . .," attributed to Confucius, 551-478 B.C., is correct, the authors of this paperback book have succeeded in reducing the length of the text by more than one third. Illustrative material forms the basis of this book and is mainly a result of excellent use of the electron microscope.
