The clinical laboratory's capabilities in the field of blood coagulation have expanded considerably during the past few years, primarily as a result of new commercial reagents and kits appearing on the market. The second edition of Dr. Sirridge's manual continues to serve as a general guide to the laboratory investigation of hemostasis and, in addition, provides further information on coagulation assays that have now become more practical.
