The authors, three physicians and one physicist, have provided a most useful working reference for the nuclear medicine laboratory. The concise format, rigidly adhered to, will be appreciated by the technologist or physician who seeks quick access to specific information about any diagnostic procedure involving the administration of radiotracers to patients. The manual will be useful also to nursing and clerical personnel, since patient preparation and scheduling requirements are clearly specified.
A minor flaw is the cursory treatment of radioimmunoassay, competitive binding, and related in-vitro techniques. Adequate coverage of these topics would expand considerably the size (and price) of the
